Wildlife Specialist Wanted

Insect IQ is seeking a full-time, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Wildlife Technician. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Experience in the field is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities:

 

Animal exclusion & trap set (residential & commercial)

 

-Exclusion: sealing up animal entry points as well as future entry points (e.g., sewer pipe vents, hook vents, attic peak vents, gables, a/c pipe access points, etc.)


-Attic Trap set: securing traditional snap traps, cage traps & glue boards (e.g., Bell trap, squirrel trap, raccoon trap, etc.)


-Trap check: scheduled trap check(s)


-Exterior trap set (residential & commercial)


-Large animal trap set, raccoon, armadillo, opossum, etc.

 

Stinging Insect Removal


Honeybee, Yellowjacket, Wasp & Hornet Removal


-Removal: structural removals – opening; ceilings, walls, blocks, floors, sheds, roofs, parapet walls, signs, poles, campers, boxes, etc.


-Removal procedures: meter box, electric pole, Bright House ped, tree hole, municipality contracts, residential, and commercial stinging insect removals will be performed.


-Nest removal material: Honey, brood, wax & bees’ bodies


-Nest removal material: Vespid nest material; paper, larvae & yellowjacket bodies. 

Requirements:


25+ YEARS OLD

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Enjoy working outside in various weather conditions

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a driver’s license & background check

Ability to pass a drug test

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
